Cyprus credit card spending down 3 pct in April

Credit card transactions in Cyprus fell three percent year-on-year in April, with a one percent decline on the year to date, according to official data.

Credit card clearing agency JCC said that domestic transactions with credit cards fell to 143.87 million euros last month. In the period January-April period the value of transactions fell 1.0 percent to 602.84 million euros.
Foreign card holders spent less on credit, with transactions down 11 percent year-on-year in April to 31.4 million euros.
